This week, the For All The Dogs song “First Person Shooter” arrived at the top of the Billboard Hot 100, tying Drake and Michael Jackson for the record for the most #1 hits by a male solo artist.

Drake states “I’m one away from Michael” in the track and also makes a reference to Jackson’s “Beat It”; this is his 13th #1 record.

While Jackson and Drake are currently tied for the fourth-most #1 hits among all acts, they are both male solo artists. The Beatles, Mariah Carey, and Rihanna are the top three with 20 #1 singles each. Drake’s latest multi-week chart-topper was in 2018, when “In My Feelings” spent 10 weeks at the top. His other seven #1 songs had only been at the top of the chart for one week before falling.

J. Cole, who now has his first Hot 100 #1, is featured on the For All The Dogs chart-topper.

For All The Dogs, Drake’s 13th #1 album, also debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 list. It brought in the equivalent of 402,000 copies, with 391,000 of those coming from streaming services as opposed to 10,000 from album sales.
