Much later, we discover the connection between Major's character, Dame, and the titular boxer we've seen — Dame has spent the last 18 years in prison, and Creed knew him as a young child.

He was also there when he was arrested, and it becomes clear that they are connected on a deeper level than old acquaintances.

We've seen Drago come out with some great enemies from both the 'Rocky' and 'Creed' series — and for that matter, his son, Clubber Lang and 'Pretty' Ricky Conlan are closing in on the ranks.

However with Dame in 'Creed III', it brings back the deep rivalry that the entire franchise is known for.
