Nicely, it’s over. Director David Gordon Green’s excruciating trilogy of latest Halloween movies involves in depth with Halloween Ends,

a grating and nonsensical finale to what has been, nicely, altogether grating and nonsensical six-hour return to Haddonfield.

Green and his 4 credited screenwriters (together with Danny McBride) give us a conclusion that twists the sequence’ themes into much more baffling knots than earlier than.

What have these motion pictures been about, actually?

Sure, the primary one was about trauma. The second was a few form of civic rage sparked by wanton violence. 

The third movie, Halloween Ends, is about these issues too, together with some musing concerning the inevitability of evil that's there, I suppose, to carry round some sort of profound thesis assertion. 

Or possibly the film is a parody of self-serious horror movies, all these clumsy allegories and sweeping clichés. Whether or not Gordon Green is being arch or not, although, I don’t a lot care. 

I’m simply glad I not have to consider it.
