Vermont State Police detectives is able arrest the murderer of Danby couple, who were stabbed to death in 1989 through a modern DNA testing of a drop of blood.

Michael Anthony Louise, 79, was arrested from Syracuse, New York on thursday for second degree murder of Catherine Peacock, 73 and George Peacock, 76. 

On Sept. 17, 1989, peacocks were found dead. 

From house none of the items of significance having been removed and no signs of forced entry were seen. 

After two weeks of the incidents Louise was identified as a suspect but circumstantial evidence was developed at the time by investigators. 

But a spot of blood that was found inside Louise's care in october 1989 was confirmed a DNA match to George Peacock after forensic testing in May 2020.

Why it took 2 years to arrest after DNA match ? Authorities gave no answer of it. 

It couldn't instantly be  decided if Louise has a lawyer.
