On Friday in National Gallery of London Climate protesters threw soup over Vincent Van Gogh's "Sunflowers" painting.

They did it to protest fossil fuel extraction though there were no harm to the painting because of the the glass-covered on it.

Van Gogh's "Sunflowers" painting was one of the Dutch artist's most iconic works.

The activists dumped two cans of tomato soup over the oil painting who need the British government to halt news oil and fuel projects. 

There were some minor harm to the body but painting is no harmed stated the gallery. On friday afternoon it was returned to its place in the gallery after it was cleaned. 

According to London's Metropolitan Police, two people were arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and aggravated trespass. 

They were taken into custody to a central London police station

Later from the same group gathered at police headquarters and they sprayed yellow paint over the rotating "New Scotland Yard" register entrance. 

Blocking visitors a number of people joined themselves to the street. 

Police stated that 24 were arrested.
