According to officials, a woman was discovered dead at Chicago O’Hare International Airport early on Thursday following a report of someone becoming stuck in machinery.

The woman was found “unresponsive and was pronounced on scene” in the 0-100 block of West Terminal Street just before 2:30 a.m., according to a brief statement from the police.

The location is close to Terminal 5, which is used by foreign airlines.

On Friday, the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office declared the woman’s death to be a suicide.

The Chicago Fire Department reportedly responded to reports of a person stuck in machinery at Terminal 5 (NBC Chicago).

NBC News was unable to get in touch with the fire department or anybody associated with the airport for comment as of Thursday afternoon.
