Jimmy Fallon asks Elon Musk to fix the RIPJimmyFallon hashtag

Jimmy Fallon has confirmed that he is alive and well and has asked for Elon Musk’s help in “fixing” the viral hashtag #RIPJimmyFallon.

The late-night television host’s fans around the world were alarmed when they saw a serious hashtag trending on the micro-blogging app, but he logged in to inform them that he was very much alive and asked Musk to take down the fake news.

He tweeted: “Alon, can you fix it? #RIPJimmyFallon.”

Many are posting pictures of other celebrities on the hashtag.

The ‘Tonight Show’ host did not tag Elon, who has yet to respond to his request.

The world’s richest man – who bought the site for $44 billion – has been helping out with personal requests since his takeover.

Last week, Doza Cat begged Elon for help with her account.

The ‘Woman’ hitmaker recently changed her screen name to Christmas but found herself unable to change it again, so she appealed directly to the billionaire to reinstate her old moniker.

He first posted: “Why can’t I change my name here.”

She then wrote, “How can I change this?

“I don’t want to be Christmas forever @elonmusk please help I’ve made a mistake.”

He then promised to help but admitted he found the 27-year-old rapper’s plight amusing.

He replied: “Working on it!

“So funny though”

At the time of writing, Doza changed his name to “Fart”.

Elon recently warned that people who impersonate others without clarifying that they are running spoof accounts will be “permanently suspended.”

He tweeted: “Going forward, any Twitter handles engaging in impersonation without clearly specifying ‘parody’ will be permanently suspended.

“Earlier, we issued a warning before the suspension, but now that we are rolling out wider validation, there will be no warning.

“This will be clearly identified as a condition for signing up to Twitter Blue.”

Kathy Griffin was suspended from Twitter after she “violated the rules” of the social media app by changing her screen name to that of Tesla’s owner.

During her stint with her fake name, Kathy urged users to #VoteBlue and also check out Twitter contestant Mastodon.

One of her tweets under the name change read: “After many spirited discussions with the women in my life, I’ve decided that voting blue is only right for their choice. (They’re sexy women too, btw.) #VoteBlueToProtectWomen”.
