Singers, artists at the opening ceremony of the World Cup
The opening ceremony has been headlined by artists from Dua Lipa and Rod Stewart who defied Qatar organizers. Reports also indicated that popular artiste Shakira had refused to participate.
But K-pop star Jung Kook, a member of the band BTS, will perform a new single created especially for the World Cup called “Dreamer.”
The artists who collaborated on FIFA’s official anthem “Tukoh Taka” are expected to perform the song at the event: Maluma, Miriam Fares, and Nicki Minaj, who collaborated on the single, which includes English, Spanish and Arabic lyrics. Maluma’s exit was an eventful lead after his interview went viral.

Other music artists performing at the FIFA Fan Festival in Qatar may also be in attendance: Diplo, Keys Daniels, Trinidad Cardona, and Calvin Harris.
Although FIFA never officially released the final list of performers, that hasn’t stopped many speculations about other names that could be part of the opening ceremony lineup, with reports that J. Balvin, Black Eyed Peas, Robbie Williams, and suggests. Nora Fatehi is one of the other names that could be a part of the show.
What time is the opening ceremony of the World Cup?
FIFA confirmed the official time of the opening ceremony late in the day. The opening match between Qatar and Ecuador will be broadcast live around the world two hours before kickoff, and the ceremony will take place at 17:30 local time.
