According to court documents obtained by TODAY.com, Kim Kardashian has been granted a restraining order against a man who has been trying to contact her and claims to have spoken to her telepathically.

On Monday, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Adrian Gidaya Roxas granted Kardashian, 42, a permanent five-year restraining order, ordering the man to stay at least 100 yards away from Kardashian and prohibiting him from contacting her directly or indirectly.

In the restraining order filed by Kardashian’s legal team, she said the man has repeatedly tried to contact her and believes “I’m communicating with him in some way.”

“(The man) claimed I was communicating with him telepathically,” Kardashian said, adding that the man “also expressed increasing frustration that I was not responding to him,” according to court documents.

Kardashian noted that she never met or spoke with the man but that he “attempted to gain access to my residence on three separate occasions in August 2022.”

She also said the man tried to break into her hotel during her recent trip to New York.

The reality TV star also said she was concerned that without a restraining order, the man might try to gain access to her and that he might “escalate into physical violence,” especially after he claimed to have a gun. According to the restraining order, the person cannot own, possess or purchase any firearms and must surrender to law enforcement.

This is Kardashian’s second legal case in recent weeks. On November 29, Kardashian and Kanye “Ye” West settled their divorce, nearly two years after the Skims founder filed for divorce in February 2021.
