Larry Birkhead, the ex-husband of Anna Nicole Smith, gave his daughter warm birthday greetings on her 17th birthday.
The years have gone quickly, and I can’t believe Dannielynn is now 17 years old. Birkhead told Fox News Digital, “I genuinely believe Anna Nicole would be pleased with how she turned out.
“I just want to support Dannielynn in any way I can and give her opportunities that Anna didn’t have.”
Additionally, the photographer shared a few candid photos of Smith’s little sister Dannielynn with her late mother on social media.
“Dannielynn, happy birthday at 17! In every way, I am extremely proud of you. I’m wishing you the very best day ever. Birkhead posted a video montage on Instagram.
“You are attractive, smart, witty, and just much all I could ever hope for. I know your mother would be extremely proud of you. Birthday greetings! I love my dad.
In addition to several memories of their daughter growing up, the memory slideshow included images of Smith holding Dannielynn. In one image, Dannielynn was seen posing as her mother’s photograph was in the background.
By the way, if you asked me whether you could reside in my basement forever, I politely declined your request. I agreed, but I couldn’t bring myself to tell you that Florida doesn’t have any basements.
After Smith’s death, Birkhead has often shown that he and Dannielynn have a close father-daughter relationship.
For Father’s Day, he shared a photograph of the two at a Duran Duran concert along with earlier unposed photos of them having fun in the backseat of a car.
At her concert at the Barnstable-Brown Gala in 2022, Dannielynn and Birkhead posed for pictures with Janet Jackson last year.
Birkhead and Dannielynn revealed in April that they were collaborating on a documentary on the former Playboy model’s life that will use “never before seen” diaries and video.
This information was made public at the same time that Netflix unveiled the teaser for “You Don’t Know Me,” a documentary that purports to feature interviews with some of Smith’s “closest friends.” Dannielynn and Birkhead weren’t participating, though.
He exclusively told Fox News Digital, “Unfortunately we are not engaged in this Anna Nicole Netflix project, but I am looking forward to sharing Anna’s story in a way that Dannielynn and Anna’s fans will be proud of.
Five months after the birth of Dannielynn, on February 8, 2007, Smith was discovered in her hotel room in Florida and was determined to have overdosed.
Birkhead had to establish Dannielynn was, in fact, his child during a highly public custody dispute that arose soon after Smith’s passing. On Dannielynn’s birth certificate, Howard K. Stern, Smith’s previous attorney, was named as the child’s father, and he fought for custody. The actor Zsa Zsa Gabor’s husband, Frederic van Anhalt, also insisted he was Dannielynn’s father.
Birkhead previously told Fox News Digital, “My relationship with Anna was sometimes portrayed as I became lucky in the DNA lottery following a one-night stand.” “My connection with her lasted more than two years, and throughout that time, we traveled a great deal. There were many highs and lows.
In 2003, at Smith’s home state’s Kentucky Derby celebrations, Birkhead had a brief encounter with Smith. The two did not, however, begin to develop a private bond until 2004, following Smith’s spectacular weight reduction metamorphosis.
In addition, a year after marrying cook Billy Wayne Smith, Smith gave birth to a boy named Daniel. Daniel tragically passed away at the age of 20 after accidentally overdosing on drugs.
