Carrie Underwood is incredibly resourceful.

Underwood, 40, was getting ready to perform during her Reflection residency in Las Vegas when she encountered a wardrobe issue. In this week’s edition of PEOPLE, she explains, “A zipper busted open just before I went onstage.” “Fortunately, my dresser added a large bow, and nobody noticed the difference. stage magic, folks!”

The country music icon recently extended her residency at Resorts World in Las Vegas through 2024 and released the Deluxe Edition of her album Denim & Rhinestones. She chatted with the publication for One Last Thing:

I last experienced terror

In order to heat up a battery, my 8-year-old [Isaiah] imitated what he saw on television by wrapping it in a gum wrapper. I uttered the words, “You’re going to blow yourself up,” which I’m sure my mother used to say when I was younger.

When I last gained more wife points

Both my husband [former NHL player Mike Fisher] and I recognize the importance of socializing with our friends. I always want him to get some “man time” in because he enjoys hunting and fishing and keeps everything together when I have to go to work.

Final memorable fan interaction

There were supporters waiting for me at the airport when I arrived in Canada to play three shows with Guns N’ Roses. They were there for me, even though I was certain they were waiting for them.

Before, I experienced buyer’s regret

Online, I placed a chair order. I paid $50 for it, and when it arrived, I saw that it was intended for a dollhouse. In terms of size, it was palm-sized.
