Hollywood icon Johnny Depp and Wednesday star Jenna Ortega reacted to rumors of romance by calling the charges “ridiculous” and “malicious.”

When celebrity gossip site Deuxmoi incorrectly claimed that Depp and Ortega had been spotted together, rumors that the two were dating quickly circulated.

The stunning rumors swiftly attracted widespread attention online, and rumors that they were dating or that Ortega and Depp may appear in Beetlejuice 2 quickly spread.

The unfavorable rumors were addressed on Instagram by Ortega, who is 40 years Depp’s junior.

The 20-year-old said, “This is so ridiculous I can’t even laugh,” as she continued.

“I have never met Johnny Depp or done any work with him. Tell the truth no more, and leave us alone.

In addition to debunking rumors that he would be acting alongside Ortega in the upcoming fantasy film, the actor from Pirates of the Caribbean also denied relationship rumors in a statement.

It stated: “Mr. Depp has no relationship, either personal or professional, with Ms. Ortega. She is someone he had never met or spoken to.

He is not currently working on any projects with her and has no plans to. These vicious and unfounded rumors that are meant to damage his reputation and career disgust him.

Ortega was open about how to deal with “toxic” and “manipulative” trolls on social media at the start of the year.

The actress fought away tears as she spoke with Elle Fanning for Variety’s Actors-on-Actors series on the painful effect that some of the online criticism had on her.

Social media is such a comparison game, she added, and that’s what it does to people her age.

It has an impact on bandwagon mentality. It is really deceptive.

When it comes to the difficulties of social media, Ortega said she tries to maintain a sense of humor and is cautious about what she posts online to prevent people from drawing unjustified judgments about her.

She continued by saying that the more trolling she encounters, the more popularity she gains, and the more time she spent in the public eye.

She admitted, “They see how vulnerable you are and twist it in a manner that you don’t always expect,” and then she started crying.

It’s really odd. I’m sorry; this was not my intention. It’s quite difficult to balance. Since it’s impossible to be sincere without endangering your own health and wellbeing. It’s quite simple to feel almost in control of things.
