Arsenal 3-2 Bournemouth
The Premier League’s match of the day came to the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
Table-toppers Arsenal was stunned when Philip Billing put Bournemouth ahead after 9.11 seconds with the second-fastest goal in EPL history.
Jaws dropped even further when Marcos Senesi doubled Bournemouth’s lead 12 minutes into the second half.
But then came an incredible Arsenal fightback as goals from Thomas Partey, Ben White and Reiss Nelson saw the leaders claim three precious points.
Partey volleyed in from an Emile Smith Rowe flick-on to give the Gunners hope in the 62nd minute.
Arsenal was equalized after eight minutes, courtesy of White’s first-ever goal for the club.
White arrived at the far post to meet a cross from Nelson, who had come on as a sub for Smith Rowe shortly before.
Bournemouth keeper Neto blocked White’s shot, but only after the ball had narrowly crossed the goal-line.
Arsenal continued to press forward in search of a winner and it came with the final kick of the game.
Nelson drove Arsenal fans crazy when he fired a spectacular left-footed shot into the top corner after failing to clear Bournemouth from a set-piece.
Arsenal is five points clear of title rivals Manchester City with 12 rounds of matches remaining in the season.
