Aston Villa and Brighton want Carlos Soler of PSG

Le Parisien claims that midfielder Carlos Soler (26), who now plays for Paris Saint-Germain, is a target for both Aston Villa and Brighton & Hove Albion.

In the summer of 2022, Soler transferred from Valencia to PSG for less than €20 million. He made 38 appearances during his first season at Parc des Princes, contributing seven goals and seven assists. Given that the Spanish manager chose Soler for his 2022 World Cup squad, it was believed that Luis Enrique’s appointment as manager would enable him to improve on that performance this season. Nevertheless, Soler’s contribution has diminished since he has played only 110 minutes thus far in this campaign.

Le Parisien said that Enrique is seeking to introduce a fresh component to the midfield since he feels there is a lack of imagination there. That will only occur, though, if a midfield exodus occurs. Soler might be the one to clear the way. The international from Spain is willing to change. Soler’s return to Valencia during the most recent international break sparked rumors of a comeback, but the La Liga team could only afford to pay a portion of his wage.

If a transfer occurs in January, Aston Villa and Brighton would be able to cover Soler’s entire wage. The PSG midfielder, who might be trying to leave the club, is being pursued by the Premier League team.
