Officials reported that a mass shooting at a block party in Baltimore early on Sunday left at least two people dead and numerous others hurt.

Police on Sunday identified the two victims who died at the party in the Brooklyn Homes neighborhood as Aaliyah Gonzalez, 18, and Kylis Fagbemi, 20. The police initially claimed that Aaliyah’s last name was Gonzales.

According to the police, 28 additional people were hurt, three of them seriously. According to a statement released by Baltimore police on Sunday, the injured victims were mostly teens and ranged in age from 13 to 32.

At an earlier news conference, interim police commissioner Richard Worley said, “Our hearts and prayers are going out to the families, sending out to the families and friends of these victims, as well as the community in our entire city.”

Around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, the police initially received calls reporting the gunshot.

According to Debra Schindler, the region’s director of media and public relations for MedStar Health, 19 individuals were sent to the emergency room of MedStar Harbor Hospital, where they were all found to be “suffering from varying degrees of injury through gunshot wounds.”

According to a statement from Schindler, “multiple critically injured patients were evaluated and triaged concurrently by clinical staff, while hospital security handled the throng of relatives that arrived in and outside of the emergency department.”

By Sunday afternoon, all but nine patients had been treated and released from trauma clinics in Baltimore.

Twelve patients were being treated in the trauma center at the University of Maryland Medical Center, while four more were receiving care in the pediatric emergency room. According to a spokeswoman, seven patients were still receiving care at the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center on Sunday afternoon.

At a morning press conference, Baltimore’s mayor, Brandon Scott, said: “This was a reckless, cowardly crime that happened here.

Scott added, “I want people who are responsible to hear me, hear me very clearly. We’ll keep searching until we locate you, and we will.

He continued, “I hope, with each breath that you take, that you be thinking about the lives that you took and the lives that you affected here tonight.” He then turned his attention to the offenders.

In an interview with MSNBC’s Katie Phang on Sunday morning, Scott urged people to come forward with information.

He said, “Someone out there knows who did this.

He said, “We need you to say something. “We need you to handle this as though your kid, daughter, father, or sibling had been murdered. You must take action, stand up, and act morally for us.

The public was also urged by police to transmit any video they may have from the scene on Sunday afternoon. The victims were either targeted or someone was shooting up the street randomly, according to the police.

There was violence over the weekend outside of Baltimore. Just before 1 a.m. on Sunday, seven people were shot and two more were hurt when they were crushed in the City Nightz nightclub on N. Washington Street in Wichita, Kansas, according to police. The inquiry revealed rounds came from at least four different firearms, the authorities stated, adding that there were no fatalities and that one suspect was in jail.

The victims range in age from 22 to 34, according to the police, who also stated that a 30-year-old lady and a 31-year-old man were the two who suffered serious injuries as a result of the trampling. Five of the casualties were transported to hospitals by emergency personnel, while the remaining victims were transported by private vehicles, according to the police.

The injuries, according to police spokesperson Juan Rebolledo, ranged from minor gunshot grazes to serious. Rebolledo stated that the investigation is ongoing and that authorities are not yet prepared to reveal the identity of the suspect.

Police criminal investigations detectives in Washington, D.C., and agents from the Washington Field Division of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives are requesting the public’s help in locating those responsible for detonating explosive devices throughout the city early on Sunday. Before running away, one object, described as a “Molotov cocktail style object,” was hurled at a Safeway grocery store in Northeast Washington.

Since 5 p.m. on Friday, 31 individuals have been shot in Chicago, three of whom have died.
