
The death of Taraja Ramsess, a stuntman, actor, and martial artist best known for his work on the “Black Panther” and “Avengers” films, and the deaths of his three children in a car accident in Georgia last week have left the public in mourning. He was 42 years.
According to Atlanta TV station WSB-TV, the tractor-trailer that broke down in the left lane of the exit off the interstate collided with the car that Ramsess and his kids were riding in just before midnight on Halloween.
In an Instagram post, his mother, photojournalist Akili Ramsess, executive director of the National Press Photographers Association (NPPA), confirmed his passing as well as the deaths of his two kids.
She added, “The previous night, a horrific traffic accident claimed the lives of my beautiful, loving, talented son Taraja @chop.saki and two of my grandbabies, his 13-year-old daughter Sundari and his 8-week-old newborn daughter Fujibo.”
Two of Ramsess’ kids, Shazia, age three, and Kisasi, age ten, who was reportedly on life support, were among the two who survived the disaster, according to her account.
She revealed that Kisasi had passed away in a later article.
Tony Tucci, X3 Sports trainer and longtime friend of his, told WSB-TV, “When I first heard about it, I broke down.” I had to take a seat.
Tucci remarked, “He was a family man always.” “They would watch him train while they came and joined in to start their own training.”
Notable filmmaker Ava DuVernay was a friend as well, and she shared posts on Instagram regarding the death.
