Joe Flacco, the quarterback who won the Super Bowl, is working out with the Cleveland Browns, sources told ESPN.

Deshaun Watson’s throwing shoulder fracture has kept him out of the lineup for the entire season, so the Browns are looking to add a third quarterback. According to sources, Flacco is the only quarterback the team has added thus far.

Dorian Thompson-Robinson, a rookie, will start for Cleveland against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. PJ Walker is another player on the Browns roster. While Watson was sidelined with another shoulder injury earlier this season, Walker led Cleveland to comeback victories against the Indianapolis Colts and San Francisco 49ers.

Flacco’s career passing totals include 42,320 yards and 232 touchdowns. When he was a member of the Baltimore Ravens, he won the 2013 Super Bowl and received the MVP award.

The 38-year-old Flacco most recently started games for the New York Jets in the 2022 season, when he successfully guided the team to an unlikely victory in Cleveland during the fourth quarter of that season. Flacco finished the game with four touchdown passes, the last one going to Garrett Wilson with 22 seconds left.
