One of the world’s most contentious shoe brands has just debuted a new design that will have you croc-odile rocking the dance floor.

Crocs is well-known for its divisive clogs and blockbuster collaborations with corporations such as Taco Bell and KFC. Now, the company is providing its clients with something they’ve obviously wanted for a long time: cowboy boots.

The Crocs Classic Cowboy Boot was launched on October 5th, and we’re not going to lie, the shoes are really cool.

According to a press release, the Crocs Classic Cowboy Boot boasts a “high shine croc-embossed texture & bold western-inspired stitching,” making it “one of the most widely requested Crocs shoe designs in brand history.” It even has metallic Jibbitz charms and a spinning spur charm.

Other noteworthy characteristics include air holes and a Crocs logo with a cowboy hat.

Fans are divided about the new look

Crocs fans are accustomed to limited-edition collaborations due to the brand’s recent collaborations with Vera Bradley and Alife. However, social media users appear to be divided on the new cowboy boots.

Fans are calling them “croots” and sharing their delight on Instagram.

“Just when I thought I couldn’t think of another croc variation,” one user remarked on the brand’s post.

“I’m very fragile rn, pls tell me this is real and yall aren’t kidding bc I need these in my life expeditiously,” one person commented.

However, not everyone was ready to put on their dancing shoes and take to the floor.

“No, now y’all have gone too far,” one skeptic remarked.

Another person said, succinctly, “Please don’t release this.”

In response to Crocs’ second Instagram post, individuals submitted even more funny replies.

One Instagram user stated that the brand should be “stopped,” while another joked that they “reported this post.”

Nonetheless, the boots piqued the interest of a large number of people.

“I can’t believe I’m saying this, but why do I like these?” said one user. Another user commented, “I definitely want a pair to go line dancing in!!!”

“These boots have been created for all kinds of purposes & I need them!!!!” wrote model Tess Holliday.

Crocs has undoubtedly expanded beyond the clog and introduced a variety of shoe styles in recent years, including sandals and heels.

And, whether you like them or not, you have to admit that the most recent innovation is quite clever.
