
Notty Osama’s brother DD Osama has opened up about the rapper’s death in an interview on TikTok, saying that his brother would still “be here” if he had been at the scene.
Notti Osama was stabbed to death in July 2022 after a fight broke out between him and a 15-year-old boy in New York City.
Notty’s brother DD Osama, who is an aspiring drill rapper, has now addressed his death through a video.
Speaking in the video, he said: “I’m still thinking ‘What if I’d stayed? If I’d stayed with him longer, he’d actually be here today.'”
The interviewer said that others had tried to say that DD had left Notti, but DD denied this, saying: “If I’d been on the scene, he’d be here today.”
Notti died after a fight broke out between him and a 15-year-old boy at the City College West 137th Street subway station in New York City. The Rising Drill rapper died just a few blocks from his home. Emergency services took Notti to Mount Sinai St. Luke’s Hospital after the stabbing but he was pronounced dead.
DD’s Instagram bio contains a touching tribute to her brother that reads: “Everything I do is for nasty Osama.”
The brothers’ cousin, Lily Ortega, described Notti as a “very happy kid”. She said: “He was very loving. He loved spending time with his family.”
Notti and DD release drill track this year
Notti was an aspiring drill rapper from New York who had 106,000 followers on Instagram. He was the youngest in his family and released the track Without You with DD in the summer of 2022.
His music is frequently featured on the YouTube channel Raps & Hustle, which showcases undiscovered talent from the hip-hop scene. Nasty and DD also collaborated on a second track, Dead Ops.
Notti’s management team has launched a website – Notti World – where fans can buy merchandise bearing the late rapper’s picture and name.
