Actress Florence Pugh was shown on social media being struck in the face by an object thrown from the audience during a “Dune: Part Two” event over the weekend in São Paulo, Brazil.
At the time of the incident, Pugh was posing for pictures with costars Austin Butler, Timothée Chalamet, and Zendaya. The person who threw the unidentified object is unclear.
Entertainment Weekly claims that the incident took place immediately following Pugh’s panel discussion about the upcoming movie.
“It was an incredible experience to come here and socialize with these folks, let alone having the opportunity to work with them,” Pugh remarked during the occasion. “The energy in this room, the reason people come here, stems from that first film, and we experienced that every day we were on set.” Consequently, having the second one here makes it feel incredibly special.
Some performers, including Harry Styles and Bebe Rexha, have been struck on stage by objects thrown from the audience during performances in the last year.
