The FivePoint Amphitheatre in Irvine has drawn its final curtains.
After one final performance on Saturday night by the Zac Brown Band, the amphitheatre abruptly closed.
Several hours before the band entered the stage, LiveNation made the announcement.
With tentative intentions between LiveNation and the City of Irvine to build a permanent venue at the site, FivePoint Amphitheatre was always intended to be a temporary venue when it opened in Great Park in Irvine in 2017.
However, due to worries about the location’s size and loud noise, local officials denied the entertainment company’s development project.
LiveNation claims that they are currently searching for additional Orange County locations to construct a permanent venue.
