Former “Bachelorette” Gabby Windey just started dating.
Windey revealed on August 2 on Instagram the fact that she is dating writer & comedian Robby Hoffman. Windey and Rachel Recchia co-starred in season 19 of the ABC dating program.
The ICU nurse from Colorado uploaded a carousel of images of the two women kissing and cuddling.
She cheekily captioned it, “Told you I’m a girls girl!”
Numerous Bachelor Nation cast members, including Windey’s previous co-star Recchia, expressed their happiness for her successful love life.
Recchia replied with multiple heart emoji, “I love you with all my heart and soul.
Former “Bachelorette” Kaitlyn Bristowe wrote, “Needed this love story!!” Well son of a biscuit, this is very lovely, said former “Bachelor” Ben Higgins. Bravo, Gabby.
Windey announced her coming out on Facebook not long after saying on “The View” on August 2 that she was “dating a girl.”
In a self-portrait video uploaded to her Instagram account, the former Denver Broncos cheerleader provided further information about her and Hoffman’s developing relationship.
She chuckled, “You know I love stirring the pot and tease, yet I did want to wait till I was ready because of it is a larger conversation because I’m dating a girl,” she remarked.
“Over the past three months, this has been by far the best experience,” the speaker said. I feel like I’ve never been in a relationship like the one I’ve been in,” she continued.
“I wanted to tell you guys,” she continued, “because I always desire to live my life truthfully and have you whenever possible with me.”
Then, Windey posted a picture of herself and Hoffman cuddling up on a chair and kissing.
Hoffman, who has previously declared her identity as LGBT, reposted the image to her Instagram account with the ironic caption, “Guys some news… I am gay.”
Hoffman, whose mother nurtured her in a strict Hasidic Jewish environment, stated to the Jewish Journal in 2020 that she felt excluded because she was lesbian from her Jewish school when she was younger.
Despite leaving Judaism, she claimed at the time that she is “very Jewish and very gay” and incorporates her religious upbringing into her stand-up performances.
According to a 2021 article from Deadline, Hoffman is a writer and comedian who is creating a comedy for Showtime called “Rivkah,” based on her real life.
She was a writer for the PBS kids’ program “Odd Squad,” for which she received a Daytime Emmy Award in 2019.
