After defeating the United States in the semi-final, which the players are dubbing “the biggest win in German basketball history,” Germany is bursting with confidence. Where can you watch the live final and how will they do against Serbia? See what follows.

On Sunday, September 10, the 2023 FIBA World Cup final between Germany and Serbia will take place. Both teams are confident after defeating two North American powerhouses in the semifinals.

Moritz Wagner remarked, “If you’re worried, you don’t belong here,” following Germany’s shocking 113-111 victory over Team USA on Friday. “You have to play fearlessly, with a hunger for victory, and with aggression.”

Serbia overcame Canada 95-86 earlier on Friday to reach their second World Cup final.

For the first time ever, Germany will take the court in a global basketball championship.

Wagner proclaimed, “This is the biggest victory in German basketball history. “This is huge for German basketball as well as German sports culture, and I think everyone realizes how important this is.”

When he returned to the court in the semi-final game against the defending Olympic champions, Franz Wagner scored 22 points and pulled down five rebounds, making him one of the game’s standout performers. Due to an ankle ailment, he was absent from the earlier games.

Franz Wagner noted the unique relationship between the German players after the victory and cited one of the joys of the historic game as being back in the starting lineup alongside his teammates.

“Our character combination is fantastic. Everyone is just playing for the guy next to you and not for themselves, he remarked. “Our group dynamics are fantastic. Being around these guys is a lot of fun.

As the top two ranked European teams, Germany and Serbia have already clinched Olympic slots for Paris 2024 after reaching the semifinals.

The last time they competed against one another was in 2010 at the Worlds, where Germany prevailed by a single point.
