Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake (R) fielded question after question from reporters who asked her whether she would serve a full term if elected in 2024 amid speculation of lofty political goals.

Lake is expected to be former President Trump’s potential vice presidential running mate if he runs again in 2024.

When a CBS News reporter asked Lake about the prospect on Tuesday, he attacked the media’s massive article.

“Are you new to this race cover? Because we’ve talked about it before. I’ve answered that question. Not only am I going to be governor of Arizona for four years, I’m going to do two terms,” he said, pointing at the gaggle of cameras and microphones in front of him. she said

“I’m going to be your worst nightmare for eight years, and we’re going to reform the media, too. We’re going to make you journalists again, get ready. It’s going to be a fun eight years; I can’t wait to work with you.”

Lake, a former news anchor, has made attacks on the mainstream media a mainstay of her message in her run for Arizona’s top executive office.

Trump has made attacking the media a hallmark of his time as a politician, often labeling outlets like CNN “fake news” or big industry “lamestream media.”

On Tuesday, she shared a campaign ad on Twitter in which she is taking a sledgehammer to the bank of television news outlets and vowing to hold the “corporate media” accountable for what she calls “scary.”
