Sen. Lindsey Graham stated on Sunday on NBC News’ “Meet the Press” that former president Donald Trump, who is known as “the provocateur, the showman,” might not be elected.

Moderator Kristen Welker questioned whether Trump should continue to disparage his opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, on the campaign trail, which prompted the South Carolina Republican to confess.

“This election might be won by President Trump. In a policy debate for president, he prevails because his proposals are beneficial to the United States. Graham informed Welker that Donald Trump, the provocateur and showman, might not win this election.

Graham continued, “I’m waiting for President Trump to come up in the next 80 days and lay out his plans for our nation—repairing damaged borders, bringing down inflation, etc.

Graham later said that he and others should “get together and do more than simply offer counsel for the individual; truly campaign for him,” to which he responded with counsel for Trump.

He mentioned fellow Republicans Glenn Youngkin of Virginia, Ron DeSantis of Florida, and former ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley.

Graham remarked, “Me and Nikki need to go to Georgia. We’re giving President Trump advice on TV.” He has many detractors. He has many advisors, but let’s get together and genuinely campaign for him, Nikki Haley, DeSantis, Youngkin, and all these wonderful people we have.”

Haley attacked Trump’s personal attacks on Harris earlier this week, telling Fox News that “talking about crowd sizes is not going to win the campaign.” Trying to argue Kamala Harris’s race will not succeed. See, this is an election that can be won. However, you must pay attention.

However, Trump went even further on Thursday, telling reporters during a news conference that was supposed to center on the economy and inflation that “I think I’m entitled to personal attacks.”

“I don’t think [Harris] will make an excellent president, and I don’t have much respect for her brains. And whether the personal assaults are justified or not—I mean, she definitely goes after me personally—I believe it’s critical that we prevail, the former president continued.

Graham made it clear on Sunday that he thought Harris’s policy stances were a problem and would be “a nightmare” for the vice president to uphold.

“It’s a good day for her and a bad day for us if we don’t discuss her policy choices as vice president and what she would do as president every day,” he continued.
