61st minute: Dangerous moment for Croatia as Achraf Hakimi gets to the byline again and sends in a wicked cross that somehow manages to keep everyone in the penalty area away.

59th minute: Noussair Mazraoui’s lats have been hobbling for a few minutes and the Moroccan fullback will not continue. Yahya Atiyat Allah will replace him.

54th minute: Morocco keeper Yassine Bono is brave out there, dropping between the studs to beat the ball into a crowded penalty area.

45th minute: A combination of Ivan Perisic and Borna Sosa in the Morocco penalty area and some late action on goal forced Nikola Vlasic to save from Yassin Bonou.

40th minute: Achraf Hakimi tries a one-two on the edge of Croatia’s penalty area but Ezedine Onahi’s control lets him down. Morocco has a free-kick in a dangerous position but again, Hakim Ziyech fails to clear the first defender.

33rd minute: Croatia’s midfield trio of Luka Modric, Mateo Kovacic, and Marcelo Brozovic have 316 international caps between them, and their intuitive understanding and awareness of each other on the pitch are very evident. But Morocco has largely kept them under control.

23rd minute: Morocco is looking the more likely side now, but no real clear-cut chances yet. Dejan Lovren makes a crucial block as Youssef N-Nessiri tries to deflect a shot.

20th minute: Croatia free-kick to Morocco in a central position on the edge of the penalty area. But Hakim Ziyech can only find the wall with his left-footed effort.
