During a lifeguard training camp on Monday morning, a Florida youngster was bitten by a shark on the leg, according to authorities.
Officials from Volusia County Beach Safety claimed that the attack happened just before noon close to the Ponce Inlet lifeguard tower. The 14-year-old youngster landed on a shark when he was practicing water entry.
According to officials, the teen’s injuries were not thought to be life-threatening. His parents took him to get sutures.
The attack on Monday occurs only a few days after two different bite incidences in the neighboring town of New Smyrna Beach. When playing football in shallow water on Thursday, a 21-year-old male was bitten, and on Friday, a 26-year-old man was bitten on the foot while inside an innertube.
