Grace Van Dien, who plays cheerleader Chrissy Cunningham in the popular Netflix series ‘Stranger Things’, has turned to a streaming career after she says she was confronted by an unnamed producer.
In the past two and a half weeks, the 26-year-old actor has rejected four film projects because of past negative experiences with seniors on set, he said in a Twitch stream on Tuesday.
“One of the last movies I did, a producer hired a girl he was sleeping with and then he asked me to have a threesome with him,” he continued.
She refused and became upset after the incident. These days, she prefers streaming as it is better for her mental health.
“With streaming, I get to choose who I hang out with, who I talk to,” Van Dien said. She posts herself playing the game on her Twitch account, @BlueFille, which has 303,000 followers.
The actress says she will be selective about the projects she takes up in future, but has not completely given up on acting and television.
“My work priorities are changing as I get older. I’m waiting for the right project,” she tweeted on Thursday. Because then I can have control of my own set and I’m not asking my actors to sleep with me,” Van Dien said.
In between coverage of his Twitch stream, Van Dyne promoted his directorial debut in the 2020 short film “Monsters and Muses”, in which he starred.
“More of this,” she tweeted on Friday.
