In his second speech since President Joe Biden withdrew from the race, former President Donald Trump disparaged Vice President Kamala Harris on immigration and criminal justice on Friday, labeling her a “bum” and a “failed vice president.”

Three weeks ago, she was a jerk. She was a jerk. At the Believers Summit hosted by Turning Point Action in West Palm Beach, Florida, Trump declared, “She was the border czar, a failed vice president in a failed administration with millions of people crossing.”

The former president’s critique of Harris and his attacks on Biden were largely similar. Trump claimed Harris has mismanaged the southern border, despises Jews, and intends to name “Marxists” to the Supreme Court to deny religious freedom to Americans. (The vice president’s spouse, second gentleman Doug Emhoff, has been actively involved in the fight against antisemitism and is the first vice president’s spouse who is Jewish.)

These accusations aligned with the general unsupported Republican allegations that if Democrats win, they will impose socialist or Marxist programs.

The White House has defended Harris’ efforts with Central American countries to address the underlying reasons of migration, not to resolve the situation at the southern border, in response to criticism from the Republican Party regarding his track record as the Biden administration’s “border czar.”

Trump also made an effort to link Harris to her previous district attorney position in San Francisco by warning attendees that “Terrorists plan to install hundreds of far-left, radical judges to forcefully impose insane liberal values from San Francisco on all Americans” if Harris is elected.

Additionally, the former president encouraged religious voters to cast more ballots this year than in any previous, reminding them, “You have tremendous power, you just don’t know that.” You must put that authority to use. It’s well known that Christians don’t vote frequently. At the very least, you must vote in this election. Let’s enter that stunning White House.

Trump continued, calling them “my beautiful Christians,” saying, “Go out and vote.” only now. You’ll be free from doing it in the future. Another four years. What do you know? It will be resolved. Everything will work out. Voting will no longer be required of you.

A Trump campaign spokesman, Steven Cheung, provided NBC News with the following explanation when asked to elaborate on the president’s remarks: “President Trump contrasted the divisive political environment that has bred so much hostility and even prompted an attempt at assassination with his remarks about the importance of faith, delivering prosperity to all Americans, and uniting this country.”

A representative for the Harris campaign released a statement after Trump’s speech, claiming that “Trump couldn’t pronounce words” and that he “insulted the faith of Jewish and Catholic Americans.” Trump “sounded like someone you wouldn’t want to sit near at a restaurant— let alone be President of the United States,” the spokeswoman continued.

Since he was the target of an attempted assassination in Pennsylvania about two weeks ago, this was the first occasion that Trump’s ear bandage seemed to be completely removed.

“As you can see, I’ve recovered nicely, and I recently removed the last bandage from my ear,” the former president said to the assembly, drawing attention to the fact that there was no bandage on her ear.

In addition, Trump said, “I took a bullet for democracy.”
