Former President Donald Trump issued a warning on Saturday, threatening to put anyone involved in “unscrupulous behavior” during this year’s election in jail. Trump is known for making baseless accusations that widespread fraud was used to steal the 2020 presidential election.

On his social media platform, Truth Social, he made the threat and restated his fabricated allegations that the 2020 election was rigged, charging Democrats with “rampant Cheating and Skullduggery.”

“[WHEN I WIN] In order to prevent this Depravity of Justice from happening again, those who committed fraud will face the worst penalties allowed by the law, including lengthy jail terms,” he wrote. “The 2024 election, in which voting has just begun, will be subject to the highest level of professional observation.”

“Please be aware that lawyers, political operatives, donors, undocumented voters, and corrupt election officials are all subject to legal liability,” he said. Unscrupulous individuals will, regrettably, be sought out, apprehended, and prosecuted at a level never previously seen in our nation.

Beyond threatening long-standing enemies and providing caution to those interested in the current election, this was one of the most comprehensive threats he has made since his defeat in 2020.

Despite spending a significant portion of the 2016 campaign threatening to imprison Hillary Clinton, his rival, he usually avoids targeting outsiders such as political workers and funders.

Threats against election workers have been made around the nation. Ruby Freeman and her daughter Shaye Moss are two particularly well-known victims. Following the 2020 election, Trump and his cronies falsely accused them of voter fraud, uprooting their entire lives.

Trump started voicing unfounded claims of election meddling in the run-up to the 2020 election. These claims became more frequent after he lost and culminated on January 6, 2021, when a crowd attacked the US Capitol in an effort to prevent Joe Biden’s victory from being certified. He started voicing similar opinions before the election this year.

In a speech on Saturday in Wisconsin, he also underlined the GOP’s emphasis on election integrity this cycle and said he would not need to run for office again if Republicans prevent Democrats from cheating.

“We must put an end to the cheating. “I don’t even have to run for office anymore if we stop that cheating,” declared Trump. “We’re going to triumph handily. Too big to rig, too big to rig, in the interim.

Following the 2020 election, Trump and his supporters launched numerous fruitless lawsuits in an effort to change the outcome. Republicans’ recent court battles in swing states before November’s election, according to some Democrats, raise suspicions that they’re trying to plant doubts about the outcome if Trump loses.

It was not possible to get in touch with a Trump campaign representative almost away on Saturday night in order to get more details on his plan.
