Vanessa Bryant’s attire for the Taylor Swift event is a tribute to her husband Kobe Bryant & daughter Giana “Gigi”
The late Los Angeles Laker’s widow displayed her bejeweled denim jacket during the singer’s Eras Tour stop in Los Angeles at the SoFi Stadium on her Instagram story on August 3rd. On the back of the jacket was a picture of Swift and Kobe Bryant performing live on August 21, 2015, at the then-Staples Center as part of The 1989 World Tour.
Swiftie is written on the top of the denim item as well.
The “Say You’ll Remember Me” patch that was on the front of the garment was seen in the following slide. Rhinestones in soft hues outlined the heart-shaped patch.
She annotated the image with the athlete’s Instagram handle and the moniker “Mambacita,” which belonged to her deceased daughter.
Vanessa Bryant created friendship bracelets for her loved ones in classic Swiftie style.
On her wrist, bracelets reading “Kob,” “Gigi,” and “Mommy” are layered one on top of the other.
Since Swift’s tour began, fans have been exchanging friendship bracelets during her shows. Making friendship bracelets is a practice that was started because of the lyrics to her song “You’re On Your Own, Kid,” which run as follows: “So make friendship bracelets / Take the moment & taste it / You’ve got no reason to be afraid / You’re on your own, kid / Yeah, you can face this.”
Along with her 6-year-old daughter Bianka and 19-year-old oldest daughter Natalia, Vanessa Bryant attended the performance on Thursday.
She posted one of the three of them together as well as individual images of her with her daughters.
On January 26, 2020, a helicopter crashed, sadly killing the NBA great and his daughter Gigi, age 13. Capri, Vanessa and Kobe Bryant’s daughter was also born in 2019.
Swift was a Swiftie, and Kobe Bryant had previously praised the celebrity and her achievements.
“Taylor’s been at the top of the game for a very, very long time,” he said to Newsweek in 2019. “I don’t give a damn if you enjoy her music or not. Watch what she’s doing, please. To be able to accomplish it time and time again is incredible.
Swift was “a sweetheart to my girls prior she even blew herself up and became Taylor Swift,” the singer continued, “so that’s why I like her.”
“I’m here for her whenever she needs me. However, you cannot be a killer and have that kind of sustained success. It’s not conceivable, he declared.
The daughters of Kobe Bryant have long been Swift devotees. 2018 saw the release of a video by Vanessa Bryant featuring Natalia and Gigi singing along to “You Belong With Me.” On August 3, prior to leaving for the Swift event, she posted the video again on her Instagram story.
