Variety was informed on Thursday by the Alameda County Coroner’s Office that Angus Cloud had accidentally overdosed on fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, and other drugs.
According to the Coroner’s Office, his cause of death was “acute intoxication due to mixed effects of methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl, and benzodiazepines.”
When Oakland police officers arrived at the scene of a call for help at 11:30 a.m. on July 31, Cloud had already passed away. When his father passed away and was buried a week later, Cloud had to deal with his loss.
The knowledge that Angus, whose father was his greatest friend, is now back together with him is the only solace we can find. The family of Angus Cloud said in a statement: “Angus was honest about his struggle with mental health, and we hope that his loss can serve as a reminder to others of the fact they are not isolated and ought not to battle this on their own in silence.
On HBO’s “Euphoria,” where he played the endearing drug dealer Fez, Cloud swiftly gained notoriety. It was his first acting role in Hollywood, and he then made appearances in music videos for songs by Noah Cyrus, Juice Wrld, Karol G, and Becky G, as well as their song “Mamiii.” The drama “North Hollywood” from 2021 and the movie “The Line” from 2023 both featured Cloud before he passed away. The movies “Your Lucky Day,” “Freaky Tales,” and an untitled monster movie from the “Scream VI” directors are among his posthumous credits.
The third season of “Euphoria” was also supposed to have Cloud return in that capacity, however, filming has not yet started. In a statement, HBO said, “We are deeply saddened to learn of Angus Cloud’s loss. He was a cherished member of the HBO and Euphoria family and has extraordinary talent. We offer his friends and family our sincere condolences during this trying time.
