According to an online article by Okta’s Chief Security Officer David Bradbury, “the threat actor was able to view files uploaded by some Okta customers as part of recent support cases.”
The executive said, the production Okta service, which hasn’t been impacted, is different from the support system. He continued by saying that the event had been reported to all impacted customers.
When questioned, Okta stated that the breach affected roughly 1% of its 18,400 clients.
On Friday, Okta shares fell 12% to $75.57.
