The couple Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz are getting married soon!
PEOPLE exclusively has learned from multiple sources that the couple, who were originally connected in 2021, just got engaged.
The celebrities were seen exiting a Halloween party over the weekend, and Kravitz—dressed as Rosemary Woodhouse from the 1968 horror film Rosemary’s Baby—seemed to be flaunting her new engagement ring in the pictures.
In an exclusive interview for GQ’s 2022 Men of the Year edition, the Batman actress, 34, discussed her relationship with Tatum, 43, and praised him for being “just a wonderful human.”
“He makes me laugh because we both really love art and are discussing art and the exploration of reasons we do what we do,” said Kravitz. “We love to watch a film & break it down and discuss it and challenge each other.”
Kravitz’s impending directorial debut Pussy Island is where the two celebrities first met during the casting process. Kravitz added that Tatum acted as her protector when they were on set.
“Whether it was brewing me tea or pouring me a drink or attempting to whip someone in shape or whatever — he truly was my protector and it was truly wonderful and sweet,” she recalled.
Regarding the actor, Kravitz continued, “I believe it’s a fantastic test if you can accomplish anything like that together. We emerged even more formidable.”
Last year, a source informed PEOPLE that the couple was “very happy” together. PEOPLE later confirmed that the couple was dating in the summer of 2021.
The insider stated, “They share this passion and their careers are a big focus.” They are very low-key when they’re not feeling well. Though they spend much of their time at home, they do love quiet date nights with friends.”
“Channing takes Zoë very seriously. It’s hardly a lighthearted partnership,” the insider continued. “They were exclusive for a long time.”
Although he remained silent about their intimate involvement, Tatum stated to Variety in February of that year, “She’s obsessed with perfection in the best possible way.”
Tatum, who is the father of 10-year-old Everly (with his ex-wife Jenna Dewan), plays tech mogul and philanthropist Slater in Pussy Island. Slater takes cocktail waitress Frida (Naomi Ackie) to his enigmatic private island.
In a mutually creatively supportive interview for the cover of WSJ Magazine’s Fall 2022 Women’s Fashion issue, Kravitz expressed her gratitude for the way the film has brought him into her life.
“When you make stuff with people it’s a very sacred time, and when you’re comfortable with somebody creatively it usually opens up other channels, since you’re kind of sharing everything about yourself,” she said.
