After being married for more than two years, Jeezy filed for divorce from Jeannie Mai.
The “Put On” rapper, whose actual name is Jay Jenkins, said in court documents obtained by Page Six Friday that he and the former “Real” host are separated and their marriage is “irretrievably broken.”
Jeezy wants Monaco, his and Mai’s 1-year-old daughter, to have joint legal custody. According to the documents, the split couple also has a prenuptial agreement in place.
A request for comment from Page Six was not immediately answered by Mai and Jeezy’s representatives.
Three years of dating later, on March 27, 2021, the “All There” emcee, 45, & the Emmy winner, 44, exchanged vows in their Atlanta home.
All visitors had to be tested two days beforehand because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
When asked about her anticipation for the celebration, Mai said, “We were really looking for having all of our friends and family there.” “However, due to COVID, we were forced to cancel every aspect of our wedding. Life is too brief, as we soon discovered after Jeezy’s mother passed away suddenly.
“And at the end of the day, what Jeezy and I really wanted was to wed. As a result, we made the decision to have a mini-wedding where we could say our vows in front of just our immediate family & a few close friends.
In January 2022, the Grammy nominee and the TV host gave birth to their first child.
But it took the couple five months after Monaco’s birth to publicly unveil her to the world.

As Freddy Harteis had been her first husband for ten years, this was Mai’s second union. The “How Do I Look?” alum did not want to have children, which contributed to the couple’s 2017 breakup.
Jeezy is a father to three other kids in the meantime.
