A 14-year-old girl pulled out a gun and shot an 11-year-old boy during an argument with another child in the parking lot of a Dallas apartment complex, police said.
According to the police, a 14-year-old girl shot in the direction of a girl who was fighting with her, but the 11-year-old boy was hit by a bullet on Sunday afternoon.
“All involved are juveniles and it’s just a horrible incident,” police Sgt. Warren Mitchell said.
The 11-year-old boy was taken to a hospital, where he died.
According to police, the 14-year-old boy fled the scene of the shooting and was later taken into custody at a nearby apartment complex.
The 14-year-old is being held at a juvenile justice center and is expected to be charged with murder, they said.
The police said that the weapon was recovered.
