Rapper B.G., who is now behind bars, sent a photo on Instagram on Sunday, September 3, to celebrate his 42nd birthday. The New Orleans veteran appeared to indicate that his time in prison is finally coming to an end in a lengthy message to his supporters.
“I now see the end zone after 12 winters and 13 summers. I’m spending my last birthday buried alive. I’m honoring the entire Virgo cycle this year. In actuality, I’m going to start acting as though every day is my birthday going ahead, the Cash Money alum said. “Maintaining attention is important. Nobody is going to be able to take away my productivity, prosperity, optimism, or peace of mind. Then, my goals grew bigger, and my vision became more distinct. I had more than enough time—13 years—to veer off the hazardous course I was on.
I’m reentering the $100 million race, and my big friend gave me the course, he continued. I’ll see you all at the top, the real ones; I’ll hear you echo from the bottom, the fake ones.
B.G. was captured in 2009 after New Orleans police discovered three firearms in his car during a traffic stop, two of which were allegedly reported stolen. B.G.’s real name is Christopher Dorsey. He fought unlawful weapon accusations for two years before pleading guilty to two counts of firearm possession and one count of plotting to impede justice. B.G. received a 14-year sentence in federal prison and three years of post-release supervision in July 2012.
Many of the artist’s contemporaries have since kept up their support for his release. With the Dope Don’t Sell Itself hit “Free B.G.” from a year ago, 2 Chainz expressed his appreciation for his comrade. As previously reported by REVOLT, Gucci Mane once the Hot Boys icon was set free gave him a $1 million record deal.
