Billy Ray Cyrus has healed his broken heart’s pain!
On Tuesday, October 10, the country singer and his Australian musician fiance Firerose exchanged vows after a year-long engagement. The newlyweds shared their joyful news on Instagram on Wednesday in a joint statement.
“10/10/23 will remain the beautiful, joyous day that our souls were united as one in holy matrimony,” they stated in their letter. “It was the most flawless, ethereal celebration of love we might have ever imagined.”
The precious moment our new forever began, the pair said, was when we both heard the preacher announce Billy Ray and Firerose Cyrus as husband and wife. “Love Is Alive!”
Three images from Billy Ray and Firerose’s wedding day were attached to their message. In the first picture, the country artist, who was dressed in a Versace tuxedo, gave his bride a kiss on the side of her forehead as she turned to face the camera in a white wedding dress by Laura Rudovic with lace accents. Firerose also carried a bouquet of orange blossoms, the color of autumn.
Later pictures showed the couple standing close to one another with their wedding rings on display and sitting on the ground outdoors in the middle of a natural setting.
On September 13, 2022, Firerose shared a picture of herself with a diamond on her ring finger, which generated the first engagement rumors about her and Billy Ray. It was eventually discovered that Billy had made a proposal a month earlier.
In 2021, Billy Ray and Firerose became friends after working together on a musical project. Through a birthday post in August of the previous year, Firerose appeared to confirm her relationship with “The Ready, Set, Don’t Go” singer.
“With you in it, the world is a better place. Firerose wished Billy a happy birthday in the caption of a picture of the two of them.
Billy Ray claims that he first encountered Firerose while working on the Hannah Montana set in Los Angeles 12 years ago. “I enjoyed doing that show,” he recalled. There are a few old pine trees on the property that remind me of Tennessee. ([My deceased German Shepherd]) We would stretch there during the day while Tex took care of his business, and I would be reminded how much I missed Tennessee. Firerose left the house that particular day through the front door. There nearly was a flash of, well, recognition. ‘This girl’s a star,’ I thought.
Firerose visited Tex that fateful day to say hello. When she revealed that she had attended an audition, I remarked, “Well, I’m sure you got the job.”
Over time, the two stayed in touch and even started working together musically.
Firerose relocated to Billy Ray’s farm in Franklin, Tennessee, where his ailing mother Ruth Ann Casto was also residing, in the summer of 2022. Billy Ray proposed in August.
Billy asked me, “Do you want to marry me? ” in a single, fleeting moment. Regarding the country singer’s proposal, Firerose said, “He didn’t drop down on one knee or anything. I love you, he said. I want to formally announce this. I want to stay at your side forever.”
A round brilliant cut diamond served as the center stone of an 18k white gold engagement ring that Firerose later chose and created herself. It was kept in place by a 4-prong V Head Center diamond that was adorned with additional round diamonds.
Billy was formerly married to Tish Cyrus from 1993 to 2022. The former marriage has five children together: sons Trace and Braison, daughters Miley, Noah, and Brandi, and daughter Brandi.
