Deshaun Watson, the quarterback for the Browns, won’t play against the Ravens on Sunday due to a right shoulder injury.

Prior to being decided to bench him, Watson threw briefly on the field during Sunday’s pregame in front of Browns officials.

He was limited in practice this week after getting hurt while rushing the ball against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.

Dorian Thompson-Robinson, a rookie, will get the ball first.

I am prepared for it. Very confident with my week’s preparation,” Thompson-Robinson said on Friday to ESPN.

Under head coach John Harbaugh, the Ravens are 22-7 (.759) versus rookie quarterbacks while compiling 34 interceptions and 82 sacks. In 47 meetings throughout the course of their careers, the Ravens will now have faced 21 different starting quarterbacks for the Browns.

Watson’s backup during the preseason was Thompson-Robinson, a fifth-round pick out of UCLA, who the Browns acquired when they dealt Joshua Dobbs to the Arizona Cardinals.

In Cleveland’s 27-3 triumph, Watson had his greatest performance while wearing a Browns uniform, completing 27 of 33 throws for 289 yards and two touchdowns.

David Njoku, a tight end with the Browns, continues to play despite having burns on his face and arm from a domestic mishap. Njoku was hurt while attempting to start a fire pit on Friday night. After the incident, Njoku was listed as questionable on the injury report.

He entered Cleveland Browns Stadium while hiding his face with a mask.

Njoku has 92 yards on 10 catches. In 2022, he had a career year, catching 58 passes for 628 yards and four touchdowns.
