As officials intensify their search for Charlotte Sena, a 9-year-old who went missing Saturday night in upstate New York, her family is appealing for assistance. They believe she may have been kidnapped.
According to authorities, Charlotte left for a bike ride with some close friends about dinnertime when she and her family were camping in Moreau Lake State Park and never came back.
The Charlotte, North Carolina, area may be in “imminent danger,” according to police, according to an Amber Alert sent out early on Sunday.
According to Lt. Colonel Richard Mazzone of the Uniform Force of the State Police, “After conducting a thorough search of the park, we made the decision to issue the Amber Alert because we felt that, after conducting such a thorough search, if we couldn’t find her here, it was quite likely that an abduction had occurred.”
