She remarked, “That’s why I claim I am familiar with Donald Trump’s personality,” to applause and cries of “Kamala! Kamala!”

“Her campaign is focused on the future,” she declared, whereas Trump’s is “focused on the past.”

Harris made her first visit to a battleground state as a presidential candidate when she traveled to a suburb outside of Milwaukee, the location of the Republican National Convention last week. According to a press statement from her campaign, this is her fifth visit to Wisconsin this year and her ninth during her vice presidential term.

“Wisconsin is on the path to the White House,” Harris declared, adding, “We won in 2020 thanks to your assistance, and we’ll win in 2024 too.”

Additionally, she honored President Joe Biden for “his continuing service to our nation.”

On Sunday, Biden declared his withdrawal from the contest and gave his support to Harris. She was quickly backed by Democratic MPs and other prominent personalities in the nation. On her first full day as a presidential contender, Harris received the endorsement by Monday from the majority of pledged Democratic convention delegates.

Harris told the mixed-generational audience on Tuesday that “we have some work to do” and that she was excited to get started. “I promise you that I will use the upcoming weeks to bring our party together so that we can win in November,” she stated.

Democratic leaders from Wisconsin, including Attorney General Josh Kaul, Sen. Tammy Baldwin, and Governor Tony Evers, joined Harris at the West Allis Central High School demonstration.

Additionally, Harris spoke on Monday at a White House event, where she focused on Biden’s leadership rather than her own candidacy.

Since Biden declared his withdrawal from the presidential race, the newly renamed Harris campaign claimed to have raised $100 million on Sunday and Monday, with 62% of the donations coming from new supporters.

According to the Harris campaign, it has 48 coordinated offices spread over 43 counties in the state, employing about 160 full-time staff members who are working to mobilize support for Harris and state Democrats in the run-up to the November election.
