Holiday Skate With the Lakers, a well-liked family-friendly fundraiser, will be back on Sunday, December 10 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Deborah F. Stanley Arena as well as the Convocation Center in Marano Campus Center. The Greater Oswego County United Way will benefit from all proceeds.
The men’s and women’s hockey teams from Laker are inviting the community to skate and enjoy some holiday cheer. The cost of admission is $3 per person, and renting skates will cost an extra $3.
There will be a chance to win a Laker hockey jersey, and Santa Claus will be there.
“The Oswego State women’s hockey team’s head coach, Mark Digby, is the event organizer, and our student-athletes love giving back to the fans, especially children, so this is always something they look forward to.” “I firmly believe that our players derive equal enjoyment from it as do the local children, and it serves a wonderful purpose. Overall, it’s a success.”
Children under the age of seventeen must be accompanied by an adult.
The State Workers Federated Appeal (SEFA) Committee of SUNY Oswego and Intercollegiate Athletics are co-sponsors of the program.
