On Thursday, a guy in Texas found his stolen truck and confronted an alleged car thief. The two got into a gunfight, and the alleged car thief was murdered, according to authorities.
In the San Antonio incident at the South Park Mall parking lot, the owner of the Ford truck and a woman who was with the suspect both sustained injuries, according to the officials.
A short distance from the spot he had left it, the truck owner discovered his stolen vehicle, according to authorities.
According to San Antonio Police Chief William McManus, the man approached his truck and ordered the driver and passenger outside while brandishing a gun.
Police were contacted when the man and woman were being held at gunpoint while seated on the ground, according to McManus.
The alleged car thief shot the owner of the Ford around two minutes after that call, leading him to retaliate by firing his own revolver, killing the suspect, McManus continued.
The incident left the suspect’s companion gravely injured.
Yes, the evil person is now dead, according to McManus. The owner of the stolen vehicle shot and killed the driver of the stolen car.
McManus referred to the truck owner’s conduct as a self-defense measure, but the chief refrained from condoning what he did.
McManus remarked, “Look, he was attempting to regain his property. “I guess it would depend on whom you asked whether they did the right thing or not.”
The law enforcement officer warned the public against taking such situations “into your own hands.”
Before taking it into your own hands, McManus advised that you “call the police.” However, the owner of the truck did what he thought was necessary, and as a result, there is one dead suspect, one seriously injured passenger who was traveling with the suspect, and one injured owner of the car.
All three of the injured people on Thursday hadn’t been immediately identified.
According to investigators, the alleged auto thief was 34 years old, the truck owner is 45, and the companion is 25.
The vehicle owner was accompanied by a woman when the shooting started, but she was unharmed, according to authorities.
