Magic Kingdom closures are brought on by a black bear sighting in a tree at Disney World

Parts of the “Happiest Place on Earth” were closed on Monday as a result of black bear sightings at Disney World in Florida, according to the theme park.

The Magic Kingdom at the Orlando resort is where a black bear was reportedly found in a tree, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

However, given the circumstances, personnel are attempting to capture and relocate the bear, the agency told NBC News. “In most circumstances, it is best to give bears space and allow them to move along on their own,” it said.

According to the FWC, the bear was probably looking for food in preparation for its winter hibernation period.

In a statement, Walt Disney World acknowledged that FWC personnel were there and engaged in efforts to apprehend the bear.

In the midst of the bear sighting, the “My Disney Experience” app displayed lengthy wait times on Monday afternoon.

A Pirate’s Adventure, Tom Sawyer Island, Liberty Square Riverboat, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Hall of Presidents, and the Walt Disney World Railroad, which includes Fantasyland, Frontierland, and Main Street, were among the Magic Kingdom attractions that were momentarily closed.

However, as the hunt for the bear goes on, Walt Disney World said on Monday afternoon that it was reopening Frontierland, Liberty Square, and Adventureland at Magic Kingdom Park.
