Shannon Beador’s difficult year just got a lot more difficult when she was caught driving under the influence this past weekend in Southern California.
According to law enforcement sources, the star of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” drove onto a residential property in Newport Beach on Saturday night and actually clipped the house.
According to reports, Beador then made a U-turn and continued on the road before parking her car in the middle of the street and exiting with her dog.
When police responded to a 911 call, according to our sources, she attempted to appear to be out for a walk. She apparently wasn’t fooling anyone because she was arrested and looked wasted.
As part of their investigation into the damage to the house, the police also impounded Beador’s automobile.
According to a Newport Beach PD representative, Beador was arrested for hit-and-run and drunk driving, both misdemeanors. She received a citation and was freed on no bond. She wasn’t filming with Bravo before the arrest, according to sources with firsthand knowledge, because the show wasn’t yet in production.
Beador’s recent journey has been rocky; in January, she opened up about her traumatic breakup with her boyfriend of three and a half years, John Janssen.
Weeks after they finished filming for Season 17 of “RHOC,” Beador claimed to have been taken by surprise when Janssen dumped her in November 2022. He told me he was done with the relationship, she allegedly added. It was utterly upsetting to hear what he said to me at that time.
There has been no response from Shannon’s team’s request for comment so far.
