After ‘N Sync released a new single, there was immediate demand for a stadium tour.
The song was released by the 1990s boy band, which consisted of Chris Kirkpatrick, JC Chasez, Justin Timberlake, Lance Bass, and Joey Fatone, when they reunited onstage at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards on September 12.
Google searches for a ‘N Sync reunion tour have increased dramatically since then, driven by fans’ fervent desire to learn whether they would be able to attend a live performance by the adored boy band. The band has teased on social media that they have a secret to tell, which seems to have played into the rumors and fan fervor.
When the band debuted their brand-new song for the upcoming Justin Timberlake movie “Trolls Band Together,” their first in more than 20 years, fans recognized that the group had reformed in the studio. On September 14, ‘N Sync released a brief preview of the song “Better Place,” which will be made available in its entirety later in the month.
In an Instagram video showing the band writing the song, Timberlake explained that it is meant to be a “love letter” to ‘N Sync fans.
Fans, though, are clamoring for more after hearing the song and seeing them in public.
What else is a love letter to fans, you ask? A complete reunion tour,” a follower wrote in response to Timberlake’s post.
“Is there a new *NSYNC song on the Trolls soundtrack? yes, we are SO having a reunion tour!!!” On X, a person said.
I really hope *NSYNC didn’t get me all amped up because I need a freaking reunion tour more than they simply releasing a Trolls song, another user tweeted.
A reunion tour has not yet been announced by the band, and inquiries for comment from TODAY.com were not answered by band personnel.
The band only created one new song specifically for the movie, Universal Pictures previously told TODAY.com.
After Timberlake shared a video of ‘N Sync conversing and joking in an elevator on Instagram on September 13, anticipation for the band’s comeback grew. On their accounts, the other four members also shared it.
Five men enter an elevator after that. Posted a caption by Timberlake.
Fans are certain they are talking about new songs and a reunion even though he muted the audio from the video.
Someone responded in the comments, “FIVE GUYS HAVE TO WALK IN A STADIUM & SING SOME HITS!!!!”
Will Smith remarked, “You guys better be making music in that elevator.”
“Generations Y, begin defrosting. It’s our fkin time,” said another.
DON’T OPEN THE FRONT DOOR! HOW DOES THIS WORK? A third responded, “All of us moms in our 30s need to know if we need to look for babysitters right away!?!?”
In another video that was shared on social media, band members acted out a scenario from “Friends” to convey that even if one of them knows something, they must wait until another member does before disclosing it. As the “Friends” music played, they mouthed the words.
“Are you aware of anything?” Fatone immediately responded to Timberlake’s muttered question with an identical one.
Kirkpatrick said, “I might know something,” causing Chasez to feign ignorance before swiftly adding, “I might have something too.”
What do you know, exactly? Bass queried everybody.
Timberlake said, “Oh no, you have to tell me everything that you know before I can tell you.”
Fans who left comments on Timberlake’s TikTok video upload claim to be able to decipher the video’s hidden meaning.
“UGGGGHHHH!!! We are being teased by all of you SO BADLY! Just go ahead and reveal the tour! We now have ADULT money to spend, someone said.
Someone remarked, once more making reference to “Friends,” “They don’t understand, we know, they know…….”
Another person said, “Don’t play against our millennial hearts!!”
Although fans have noted that ‘N Sync has upped their social media presence and that there is now a verified TikTok account under the band’s name, the teaser videos appeared to allude to the band’s reunion for the new single.
“No reason *Nsync is revamping their website, increasing their activity on Ig and Twitter, and developing a TikTok? One supporter tweeted, “I know this isn’t just for this awful Trolls movie.
