After hearing rumors of a broken engagement for several days, Lindsay Hubbard, a cast member of “Summer House,” revealed that her relationship with Carl Radke, another cast member, is over.
On September 14, Hubbard posted a statement on her Instagram account announcing the news.
The 37-year-old woman’s statement was prefaced with the words, “I would want to start by saying thank you for providing me the room and time to deal with my emotions, heal, and mourn the loss of not only my relationship, yet my friendship with a person I called my best friend for 8 years.
Fans of the program will recall Hubbard and Radke’s failed attempt at dating in Season Four of the Bravo series. In January 2022, the two resumed their romance, and the most current season of the show followed them as a couple through their engagement in August 2022.
The past two weeks, according to Hubbard, “have been the most heartbreaking & emotional weeks of my life.” “My entire life & future were upended, and I’ve struggled to make sense of it all without getting any answers or closure on why. In addition to feeling humiliated by how everything played out, I’m also devastated that it ever did. It has been challenging for me to accept that my trust has been betrayed.
She clarified that it was not her decision to call off the engagement.
I don’t think it’s appropriate to end a relationship (at this level) before trying everything, the woman added. The past few weeks have been spent by me obtaining my own closure and peace. I will always be grateful to my closest friends who have stood by me and helped me pick up the pieces of my life and heart as they fell apart.
She ended her article by stating that it was crucial to for her to be open with her fans about her emotions and that she is “still grieving & trying to process everything that has happened.”
She ended by expressing her gratitude for everyone’s love and support, which helped her get through. “From the bottom of my heart, thank you,” she said.
Following the announcement of their separation, Hubbard appears to have deleted recent posts with Radke from her Instagram page. On his social media platforms, Radke has not commented on their breakup.
The ex-partners have been in the Bravo reality series since its premiere in January 2017. Hubbard and Radke reportedly intended to wed in Mexico this fall. In August, she celebrated their impending nuptials in New York City with a bridal shower with a garden party theme.
According to People, her bachelorette party was planned for the end of September in the Bahamas.
Hubbard told the publication that as she was getting ready for the shower & her bachelorette party, “It’s so sweet to look at Carl as we continue to check to-dos off of our list and as it’s getting closer.”
“It’s going to fly by,” she continued, “since we are only three months away at this point. After that, I’ll be heading down the aisle as soon as you read this.
