Kenneth “Zoo” Petty, the husband of Nicki Minaj, and Offset, the husband of Cardi B, appear to be having a falling out.
The convicted sex offender Petty and his group can be seen in the video standing outside, looking like they’re looking for Offset. One of Zoo’s goons yelled, “Offset where you at.”
Although they don’t specifically say why they’re seeking Offset, some online have speculated it might have to do with a purported encounter that happened at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards.
Petty and Offset haven’t publicly swapped words before the VMAs. However, the two parties may have been at odds because of their previous disputes with their wives. It makes sense that there would have been some tension in the venue given that Cardi and Megan would be performing their most recent single, “Bongos,” and that Minaj would be emceeing the event. The award event, however, appeared to end without a hitch, or so we believed.
Cardi wrote on Wednesday, “I ain’t even flinch.” Some of the rapper’s fans speculate that she or Offset may have felt intimidated by Petty, even though it’s unclear who the artist was referring to with this line.
Cardi’s post appears to have offended Petty and his friends. Social media users shared a screenshot of the couple appearing backstage at the VMAs from one of Petty’s affiliates’ Instagram stories.
