Adele’s use of the term “husband” for her lover Rich Paul has led to rumors that she is secretly married.
During a portion of the performance where she goes about and responds to audience queries on Saturday night (16.09.23), the pop diva appeared to update her relationship status while interacting with fans at her show in Las Vegas.
In a TikTok video, a female fan asks Adele to marry her, to which the singer responds, “You can’t marry me, my darling. I’m straight. And tonight my hubby is here. There he is.
“Can you try?” the woman remarked. Adele chuckled, saying, “Oh no, I don’t want to attempt. Rich and I agree. You’re crazy; go away from me.
The singer of “Rolling in the Deep” was previously wed to Simon Konecki, the man who gave birth to her son Angelo, from 2018 to 2021. She later began dating sports agent Rich, 41, with whom she initially met on the dance floor at a friend’s birthday party. They have been together for two years.
When they were spotted together at a basketball game in the summer of 2021, they officially announced their relationship. Adele later revealed she kept the romance a secret for as long as she could, not even informing her close friends she was dating.
I didn’t really inform many of my friends at the beginning since I wanted to keep it to myself, she said in an interview with Rolling Stone. When the news was first reported, none of them believed it.
