Tottenham Hotspur star Son Heung Min has been kept on the team

After breaking his eye socket in Tottenham Hotspur’s UEFA Champions League clash last week, there were doubts as to whether Heung-min Son would be able to compete at the 2022 FIFA World Cup. However, Geet confirmed on his Instagram page a few days later that he will participate in Qatar. South Korea’s head coach Paulo Bento has now announced a strong team led by Sun for the World Cup in Qatar.

South Korea is playing the final of the World Cup for the tenth time in a row. The Asian giants have sprung a big surprise in the 2018 World Cup by beating defending champions Germany 2-0.

The encounter, now dubbed “The Miracle on Kazan”, is one of the most memorable victories in South Korea’s history, with the Asian giants finishing third in the group stage but failing to reach the knockout stages despite upsetting Germany.

They will be underdogs in Qatar World Cup. The team has pulled off several setbacks in the past. When the son is fit, he can be a formidable foe.

On the other hand, South Korea is in a tough group that includes Uruguay, Portugal, and Ghana. The Asian powerhouse will face Uruguay in Group H of their World Cup campaign.
